The Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities in MIT Muzaffarpur was established in 1954. The vision of the Department is to apply scientific knowledge and integrate human values with technical education. Since its Establishment, it has developed into a lively department, encompassing teaching and research programmes with hands on experience in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English. The Department is involved in nurturing undergraduate students enrolled in the B.Tech & B.Pharma programs offered by the Institute.
The department has excellent infrastructural support as it has a separate double story building. The Laboratories are well-equipped with latest technology for Physics, Chemistry and English. The department has well qualified faculty who have been contributing their research to renowned national and international journals.
